Sometimes the little freshwater pearls with CZs inlaid around their tummies call out to me. This time it was a strand of yummy green ones which are interspersed here with rough Peridot crystals and large, richly-colored matte Fluorite beads. (Please note that this is a heavier necklace because of the large stones in it.) I was looking for pearls and stones to go with Karen's centerpiece bead and it came together after I brought home the Fluorite beads without knowing what I planned to use them for... oh, there it is sitting right there on my table! Melody says Fluorite is a stone of discernment and aptitude so apparently these stones had more discernment than I did when I found them and leapt into my hands demanding I buy them.
Melody and Simmons agree that Peridot brings an inner sense of warmth, a little peculiar for a cool green stone, don't you think? And yet they're quite right. Judy Hall tells several interesting stories about Peridot and includes a statement from the 13th century Book of Wings that a Peridot talisman carved with a vulture "constrains demons and the wind." Sounds handy! Please order the set today.
