Here's a sweet little rhodochrosite necklace with pearls. Rhodochrosite is a fascinating manganese carbonate mineral which forms in hydrothermal vents. It was first discovered in silver mines of Romania. It occurs all over the world but banded material like the centerpiece is probably from Argentina where an old Incan silver mine produces gorgeous stalactites of rhodochrosite.
