The fabulous bead which forms the centerpiece was made by Donna Milliron who is famous for combining lampworked flowers on Pate de verre (cast glass) beads. Because I liked the bead positioned at a 90 degree angle from the way Donna intended it to be used, I made a ruffley gourd stitched "bezel" for it. If you click on the image you will see a detailed photo of the bead itself. The necklace is needlewoven and encrusted with crystals and pearls. Please order this lovely piece to celebrate Spring! |
