The centerpiece of this necklace is a beautifully-carved tagua nut iguana. I wish I had more information about the carver. I had two of his carvings which he signed differently on each. This one has "Fr. Eicer P." and "Fr." can be an abbreviation of "Father" (meaning a priest), however the other carving showed it differently, as "Freicer," leaving us to wonder. It was my understanding he is a Wounaan Indian, an indigenous carver from Panama. I purchased the iguana many years ago when the carvings were of the highest quality. Unfortunately contemporary carvings I've been able to find do not measure up.

This necklace was a special order. Perhaps you would like for me to make something for you as well?

LOVE BEADS: This piece includes "love beads," beads given to me after the fire by friends and strangers. The necklace carries the energy of their loving concern.
