This set features richly-colored agatized dinosaur bone cabochons and a sterling heart lobster clasp. The cellular structure of the ancient bone is preserved as it is slowly replaced by agate over eons. The dinosaur that gave us these stones probably lived in the Late Jurassic (~150 million years ago) in what is now the Colorado Plateau according to The BoneMasters. That website has a most interesting page entitled "what is agatized dinosaur bone" which includes information on how it is thought to develop and also its metaphysical properties. Sadly I have no idea what type of dinosaur sent these beautiful jewels as a love letter from the far distant past. Wouldn't the set make a lovely "everlasting love" gift for your Valentine? The necklace consists of small cubes of poppy jasper and spots of black onyx and a tiny black onyx cabochon sits atop the heart. Teensy earrings complete the look.
