The shape of these lovely stones reminded me of single quotes. They gently frame the face. From a little distance these pretty stones appear very neutral so they can be worn with many colors.
Many theories have been put forth as to how the beautiful, complex fortifications form in agates. The Gibbs book (below) details the process as we understand it today and presents over 200 pages of gorgeous agate photos. Crazy lace is shown in all three Zenz books; several pages are devoted to it in the first volume which includes a long list of the varieties of crazy lace.
