The sterling beads in this chain are especially lovely! Tiger iron has the same strange reflective qualities (called chatoyancy) as tigereye. The effect is due to the fact the material is actually fibrous. To me, the tiger iron has much more attractive colors than tigereye.

Pyrite, here in a lovely grey form, is more commonly called "fools gold." Ancient Mexicans made beautifully polished mirrors with it.

This chain has lots of gorgeous beads connected by hand made chain. I am forever grateful to Lynne Merchant for teaching me wire work!!
