This wonderful vessel is such fun to wear! The colors in it are fabulous, with its transparent turquoise bumps, turquoise and cobalt marble base, and mango lips. The mango lip of the vessel is echoed in a tiny mango bead at the bottom of one of the fringes-- with lips (at the end of the 4th fringe up from the bottom)! The vessel has a very full gourd stitch flower coming out the top, with vessel buds waiting to burst open. A wild collection of fringe elements completes the composition.

I am honored this piece was chosen as one of five finalists in the 'beads' category of the 2002 Saul Bell Design Award Competition sponsored by Rio Grande!!
