This little house bead is incredible! The details on it (windows, door, child on the back with curls, etc.) are all made from cane. This allows the very detailed image to be drawn down to the tiny size needed to make a whole house that is only 1" x 1.5" in size. The minute flowers on the side of the house (only visible in the detailed shot) are added individually. The house, like all of Heather's beads, makes you happy when you see it and wear it. It made me so happy I added the antique flowers coming out its head! Heather also made the large accent beads to match the house roof. They are actually hollow, so very light in weight for their size. It is quite a trick to make a hollow bead on a mandrel! I added beadwork for texture. The brilliant quartz chips complement the crystal clear glass nicely. |
